likesomanycandles asked: Hey there! I'm possibly getting a bustle dress for my birthday, and I have a question. Should I get a bustle and a crinoline, or just a bustle? I've not been able to find any answers about this, and I thought you might know. Thanks!
How exciting for you! You definitely only need a bustle - crinoline is a word to describe the hoops that went under mid-19th century dresses (think Gone With the Wind). Alternatively, crinoline is a term used for the “tutu” type garments that made 1950s dresses look poofy. Since you are only going to be needing the bustle effect, a bustle undergarment is all you require!
