A court dress from July of 1807. Court dress had very firm guidelines that a person had to follow, sometimes even telling you what fabric your clothing had to be made out of. Though by now the rule had changed, previously Regency court dress, while having the high empire waistline of the times, was required to include the paniers of the eighteenth century. It made for a very silly silhouette! I will post a photo of an example with the paniers sometime in the future :D
