Beautiful slippers worn by Elizabeth Swan in the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.” She wears these with her nightgown and robe when she is kidnapped by the pirates (“Parlay!”). I know this blog is “historicalfashion,” but I also adore movie costumes, so occasionally I’ll post some from historical/historically-inspired films.
Okay, I know this dress isn’t an extant one, and I won’t contest to its accuracy (I am not an expert of this period) - but it is ONE GORGEOUS DRESS! The minute I saw it I fell in love. The costumes in this movie were stunning!
